Learn to Read Program teaches kids the skills needed to become confident readers, giving them a foundation to build on through their education years and beyond. Utilizing videos, storybooks, a workbook, and reward stickers, children will gain not only an understanding of reading skills, but an appreciation for the joy that reading can bring. These 'Levels 7 & 8: Early Fluent Readers' editions teaches students long vowel sounds with 'e', vowel teams like 'ee', 'oa', 'ai', 'oy', 'au', 'oi', 'r' controlled words, 'y' at the end of a word, diphthongs and complex consonant blends like 'igh', 'spl', 'wr', and ''kn-', soft 'c' and 'g' words, two-syllable words, 36 new sight words and Levels 5 & 6 review. Each lesson takes approximately 20 minutes; students watch a video on the DVD or online to learn each lesson's sounds and words, follow-up the DVD with workbook exercises and put together their new skills by reading a story in the reader.
